Yo ADRIAN!!

For one whole year. Since I tipped over into the cactus. A slow, ugly and embarrassing fall. I have agonized over THIS hill. Climbing this hill. Out of that DAMN canyon. On my bike.


That sweet little country road starts here. The Willow City Loop. Popular w/ wildflower seekers and motorcycle tours. The Loop starts high and ends high. And I think I mentioned there's a big canyon in the middle?

You've all heard me talk about it. Grabbing my stomach in a nervous fit as I did so.

So, we did it. Me and Lizzie Lou. On Saturday. We climbed that hill. Out of that canyon. We climbed the next hill. And the next. There were definitely some hills I had blocked from my memory. We are a lucky team. Minimal wind. The deepest blue skies. Strong tires. Strong (tho' tired) backs.

I think we're ready.
