GRAS DAY 5. Life lessons.

When competing against tens of thousands of folks for foodstuffs, and the line for brisket nachos topped with all SORTS of yummy goodness is long, just wait. The lesser "Kick Ass" version will disappoint with its ordinary cheese and pickled jalapeƱos.

To my untrained rock star eye, it seems a lot easier to imitate "rock star godliness" when it's dark and the searing heat has gone to bed and the lights and sound are all knobs to the RIGHT. It's tough stuff to grind it out when it's 1 in the afternoon and 95 degrees and no breeze with a still "sleepy" crowd stumbling past on its way to the Eats tents. And some bands have traveled from so far!  North Wales. And other "far" places.

Always always give in to the friendly banter and strong legs of the pedicab driver!!!

Hang with friends who take stunning photos. Stay tuned for those.
