Surprised to realize that my father-in-law would've been 84 today. He died 1.5 years ago and seemed 84 then ... but birthdays seem a more festive reminder of life ... than death.

We attended the last middle school football game today. Surprised at how much we all enjoyed it. And how HOT it was at 530. Hopefully, that'll change tomorrow.
Surprised today to learn we WILL be able to attend our annual costume party. The Tall One WILL be GORGEOUS. (No surprise.)
