Day Six.

Or, "The Day of the Red Shoes." Wore my new red shoes today for a brief time. A walk from car to restaurant to car to parking meter to Capitol building had the potential for real carnage. A quick and inconspicuous application of a Band-Aid saved me from any harm. And I had my comfy shoes waiting for me in the car for the rest of my day.
A birthday lunch of Chinese food. A birthday PRESENT! For me???? You really shouldn't have. (It's a lovely silver and gemstone cross necklace, since you asked.) And a very productive day of meetings and preparations.
